Demolition
Cutting standard structural steel
The use of steel sections in construction is nothing new –
whenever older structures are torn down, there are steel
sections to be removed too. In the past, this was typically
done using cutting torches.
A safer and faster method of demolishing such structures
is by using demolition tools to break the steel so that it
can be recycled and reused afterwards.

Sandhurst Equipment Sales Make Another Early
Breakthrough |
After selling the very first Atlas Copco BP
2300 bulk pulveriser in the UK to Armoury
Demolition & Recycling Ltd in February 2004,
Sandhurst Equipment Sales have completed another
world premiere and have sold the very first
Atlas Copco CC 3300 demolition cutter to the
same customer.
Armoury Demolition & Recycling Ltd have put the
Atlas Copco CC 3300 straight to work on
demolishing a 10 year old factory site on the
outskirts of Wolverhampton, using the steel jaws
to cut away the roof and supporting pillars of
the factory, which is being demolished to make
way for a 300,000 sq ft retail distribution
centre.
Tony Mc Lean, Managing Director of Armoury
Demolition & Recycling, stated: „As one of the
region’s leading demolition contractors we are
involved in major projects with extremely high
profile clients. Making the right choice of
plant and machinery is integral to our success
and the CC 3300 has surpassed our performance
expectations.”
Tony Mc Lean added: “we were so impressed with
the performance of the Atlas Copco BP 2300 bulk
pulveriser that we purchased earlier this year,
we didn’t hesitate in again choosing Atlas
Copco, and once more we are delighted with the
results – we believe this tool is perfect for
the job, smaller and more powerful than similar
products on the market”
Paul Tromans, Divisional Director at Sandhurst
Equipment Sales in Birmingham, said “after
selling Armoury Demolition & Recycling the first
Atlas Copco BP 2300 bulk pulveriser in the
country in February this year, we are delighted
to follow it up with another first. We look
forward to consolidating our position as the
leading supplier of heavy plant equipment in the
country”.
